Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Costa Blanca Translations (“we”, “us”), run by Jodie Hughes as autónoma, collects, uses and protects personal information under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spain’s Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

- Technical data collected through the website (IP address, browser type, pages visited) only where you have given consent via the cookie banner.
3. How we use your data
- To provide translation, accompaniment and document services you have asked for.
- To respond to enquiries and schedule appointments.
- To comply with legal and tax obligations as an autónoma in Spain.

4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data under one of the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the service you have requested), compliance with legal obligations (invoicing, tax reporting), consent (cookies, optional communications) or legitimate interest (managing the service and responding to you).
5. Confidentiality
All information shared during appointments or through documents is treated as strictly confidential. Nothing you share is passed on, shared, or published without your explicit permission, except where we are legally required to do so.
6. How long we keep your data
Appointment and document data is kept only for as long as it is needed to provide the service and meet tax/legal obligations (normally up to six years for invoicing records). Enquiry data is kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.
